Designer's Bazaar Refund and Cancellation Policy


At Designer's Bazaar, we strive to provide a seamless and transparent platform that connects individuals and businesses with talented freelancers across India. We understand that situations may arise where refunds and cancellations are necessary. This policy outlines our guidelines for refunds and cancellations to ensure a fair and satisfactory experience for all parties involved.


1. Cancellation by Clients:


1.1 Project Cancellation Before Engagement: Clients can cancel a project before the freelancer has been engaged / started the work. In such cases, the client will receive a full refund of any funds deposited for the project.


1.2 Project Cancellation After Engagement: If a client needs to cancel a project after engaging a freelancer, the cancellation process will follow these guidelines:


  • Within 24 hours: The client can receive a full refund of the project funds minus a 20% processing fee.


  • After 24 hours: The refund will be calculated based on the work completed by the freelancer up to that point, with any applicable processing fees deducted.


2. Cancellation by Freelancers:


2.1 Project Cancellation Before Engagement: Freelancers can cancel their commitment to a project before the engagement. In such cases, the client will receive a full refund of any funds deposited for the project.


2.2 Project Cancellation After Engagement: If a freelancer needs to cancel a project after being engaged, they should provide valid reasons to both Designer's Bazaar and the client. The cancellation process will follow these guidelines:


  • Within 24 hours: The client will receive a full refund of the project funds.


  • After 24 hours: The refund will be calculated based on the work completed up to that point, with applicable processing fees up to 20% deducted.


2.3 Frequent Cancellations: Multiple instances of cancellations from any party may lead to temporary suspension or removal from the platform.


3. Disputes and Resolution:


3.1 Disputes Between Clients and Freelancers: If a dispute arises between a client and a freelancer regarding the quality or completion of work, Designer's Bazaar will mediate the situation to find a fair resolution. If a resolution is not reached, refunds will be assessed based on the work completed and the circumstances of the dispute.


4. How Refunds are Processed:


Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the initial transaction. The processing time for refunds is minimum 7 days and a maximum of 14 days from the date of approval of processing the refund request. However, the reflection of refund in your transaction history may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.


5. Changes to the Policy:


Designer's Bazaar reserves the right to modify or update this refund and cancellation policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
